The ultimate sustainable metal, copper is a critical component of modern life and plays an important part in the global transition away from carbon-based technologies and infrastructure. Copper is an excellent electrical and thermal conductor and is found in a wide array of products, from computers to building electrical systems to renewable technologies such as wind turbines, solar panels and electric vehicles. One of copper's unique qualities is the ability to be endlessly recycled without compromising its performance or integrity. This makes copper an ideal metal that is vital to the clean energy solutions we need today.

Falling Short on Supply

Copper demand is rising at the same time the industry is facing a difficult supply environment. Existing mines are aging, grades are declining, and new projects typically require longer timelines, deeper deposits, greater capital intensity, and more complex permitting. Even with increased recycling, new primary mine supply will remain essential to meeting future demand. The result is a growing need for new copper discoveries capable of supporting long-term production. This supply gap is creating renewed urgency around underexplored jurisdictions with the geology to host large-scale deposits.
